The Senior Leader Apprenticeship is designed to develop inclusive leaders who are responsible for developing ethical, innovative and supportive cultures with the ability to deliver results, manage complexity and instigate change.
This apprenticeship programme is delivered flexibility by the Open University with an emphasis on work-based learning. It concentrates on strategic analysis, interdisciplinary skills, intellectual stimulation and independent judgement. It also covers core themes such as critical engagement, embedding theory in practice and global impact awareness.
It is suitable for senior leaders with responsibility for organising and and directing the business. Specific job roles may include Senior Manager or Executive Director.
Apprentices who successfully complete the programme will gain the Senior Leader Apprenticeship certification and a postgraduate diploma in Leadership Practice. Successful apprentices may also be eligible for membership of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI)or the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), depending on their management experience.
Entry Requirements:
To be eligible to apply for this programme you must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a managerial, professional or technical role.
You should also hold an academic qualification equivalent to a UK honours degree.
Participation on this programme will be determined on a case by case basis and spaces allocated via an annual selection process.
