Physiotherapists make a real difference to the way people function physically, socially, and psychologically, using therapeutic intervention to optimise their abilities. This is achieved through health promotion, preventative healthcare and rehabilitation.
This course is for those working in healthcare who wish to pursue a physiotherapy career. The apprenticeship will take 3 years to complete, with 2 days per month taught delivery and 2 days per month self-study. The remaining time will be spent in the workplace and on relevant clinical placements.
On completion of the course apprentices will be awarded the BSC (Hons) Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy degree apprenticeship. Apprentices will have the knowledge and skills so that they can register with the Health and Care Professions Council as a physiotherapist, and they can apply for membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Apprentices must complete at least 1,000 hours of clinical practice successfully to comply with the regulations of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. During placements learners are supervised by experienced clinicians and are also supported by University tutors.
