In modern healthcare systems, leaders need to be able to influence and support a multicultural workforce and to lead innovations and improvements within their area of practice. Healthcare leaders and mangers need skills in flexibility, adaptability, critical thinking, creativity and confidence to work within complex, interconnected and globally influenced healthcare environments.
This 2 year, part-time programme enables apprentices to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to embrace a global mind-set and to lead and manage safe, high-quality and effective healthcare.
Apprentices will develop advance decision making skills in leadership and management using evidence based practice and approaches. They will engage in collaborative learning through seminars, group work and class debate as well as online learning activities, developing communities of practice, peer support networks and a professional online presence.
This course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). On successful completion you will also be eligible for a CMI level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants should:
•Have GCSE passes in maths and English Language at grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent)
•Normally have an honours degree (2.2 or above) in a health-related subject or in leadership or management. Completing Circle Health Groups Operational Leaders (ILM Level 5) is also applicable as a relevant entry qualification and previous experience and evidence of study at level 6 may be considered.
