Circle Health Group offers lots of opportunities to learn and develop. People may think that learning and development may be around courses and qualifications. These, albeit critically important to some vocational areas, are only part of your success as a professional.

Your experience and exposure arguably allow you to develop, grow and stretch. But, equally, in a world of work that is impacted by rapid change, the ability to adapt puts you in the best place to grow your career.

This series of short articles will help you reflect beyond courses and qualifications. What is offered is a suggestion, some can be applied straight away while others may need some consideration to implement.

The articles are split into four key areas. First, early careers are for people who have recently started, restarted, or taken a new route within work. The experienced careers area explores people with 5+ years of experience in their field. Those in managerial, leadership or supervisory positions may benefit from the managerial careers articles. Lastly, those who have executive or senior leadership responsibility may wish to read the senior leader article.

Before you start to explore, don’t fall into the trap that there is one perfectly aligned way of developing your career. Equally, don’t minimise your own success by comparing yourself to others. Your success, among other things, is built on how intentional you are about your own development, how you choose to take responsibility for things within your control and continually seek every experience as a learning opportunity.

You may want to use our reflection toolkit to aid and consolidate some of your thinking. Enjoy the articles!
